The Rock at Noon Day

“Showing people the compassion of Christ to introduce them to the salvation of Christ.” The Rock at Noonday exists to offer hope to the homeless in Albuquerque through the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ. We foster relationships by providing a lunchtime meal to a population that often goes overlooked, and we offer a way to help them get back on their feet. We hear countless stories from those who come through our doors—of addiction, abuse, neglect, bad luck, bad choices. Far more than needing food for their stomachs, these homeless and destitute individuals need the Bread of Life—the love of Christ to transform their lives and renew their hearts. That is the only hope for any of us for real life change, and we offer it through a meal. Last year we served more than 145,000 meals to the homeless and materially poor, and the demand has only increased. So far this year we are serving more than 370 meals every day, and we need your help. We see daily examples of the homeless problem across Albuquerque’s street corners. But through your support of the Rock at Noonday, you can help be part of the solution. We depend on the generous support of our local community to provide these meals and services. Children's Grief Center

The Children’s Grief Center (CGC) of New Mexico provides special support services for children, teens, young adults (ages 5-25) and their caregivers after the death of a loved one. During the school year, we offer peer support groups at our main location in Albuquerque and our satellite location in Rio Rancho. During the summer and holiday months, we offer a variety of short-term services in various locations, including our Camp Corazon. Families are never charged for our services and we are the only service of this kind in Central New Mexico.

Pegasus Legal Services for Children

Our Story Pegasus was founded in 2002 by two Albuquerque lawyers, Tara Ford and Liz McGrath. Both attorneys had worked as lawyers for children and youth in foster care and had seen the benefits of having a skilled lawyer to advocate for these vulnerable children. Their experience led them to believe that children and youth outside of the foster care system would also benefit from access to legal services. Pegasus was incorporated under New Mexico state law in April of 2002, and received its initial 501(c)(3) determination letter in February of 2003. Pegasus provides civil legal services to children and youth in dire situations. Most of the clients we serve have suffered extreme hardships such as abuse and neglect. Pegasus is committed to helping them find positive, long-term solutions. We offer a unique range of services to homeless and runaway youth, teen parents, children in the abuse/neglect system, children being raised by their grandparents, and children who have been denied appropriate educational services. Pegasus prides itself on providing comprehensive, high quality legal services to the most vulnerable children and youth in New Mexico.

Joy Junction is here for you Here at Joy Junction in Albuquerque, we have one goal: to provide the homeless community with hope. Whether it’s offering a safe place to sleep, a warm meal, or simply spreading awareness about homelessness, we believe that we’re creating a better place for our homeless community one step at a time. Our outreach ministry uses the power of faith to provide food, clothing, shelter, and safety to the homeless population of Albuquerque. Joy Junction is a nonprofit, donations-only charitable organization fulfilling the physical and spiritual needs of homeless women, children, and families through your generous donations. Practical Help for those in Crisis

APD's CIT, CIU and COAST

COAST is a unit of the ABQ police department that provides outreach and support for those in crisis. Crisis Intervention The Crisis Intervention Team's goal is to provide an effective response to situations involving people who might be mentally ill or in crisis. The Crisis Intervention Team works with people in the Albuquerque Community who exhibit chronic behavior patterns that may pose risks to themselves or others. One of the team's primary goals is to ensure that situations involving people in crisis are defused so that force may be avoided and proper medical attention or referral to an appropriate follow-up agency is provided. The team also works closely with the mental health care provider network to help identify deficiencies in our health care programs.
